| Will you be crowned Quilting Queen? |
Greetings!
My first annual "Quilting Queen Contest" was a great success and I am happy to announce that Susan A. was the winner! She brought a quilt piece for each month's challenge in 2011. Congratulations Susan!!!
This year, I wanted to change things up a bit so now you have TWO ways to win! At the end of the year, the winner will have a choice of $50 Cash or a $100 Longarm Legacies Gift Certificate! First Way to Win: Bring me quilt tops that fit the 2012 Quarterly Challenge themes listed below. I've kept it easier this year but am hoping you will continue having fun using your fabric stash.
Second Way to Win: Participate by donating a lap sized quilt top for the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge. Last year we donated 18 quilts and this year our goal is 25! Click here for information on Hope Lodge.
Remember, I appreciate ALL your quilting business but only the quilt tops that fit the listed themes will count toward the contest. Have fun! Diane

FIRST QUARTER CHALLENGE
Let's celebrate winter by working on "cool" color quilts! Snow can be pretty boring to look at but beautiful blues, purples, teals, fuschias, etc. can really make our eyeballs happy. Any design and size will do. It's all about cool colors this quarter. (You will get credit for EACH piece that fits this theme.)
SECOND QUARTER CHALLENGE
Sunshine is coming so pull out those "warm" colors. Sunny yellows, oranges, greens, etc. are what it's all about this quarter. Soon we'll get our fill of these colors outside. Yay! (You will receive credit for EACH piece that fits this theme.)
THIRD QUARTER CHALLENGE
I know it seem early, but let's get those holiday projects done sooner, rather than later! We'll all be happy when Crhistmas rolls around and those deadline projects are done! (You will get credit for EACH piece that fits this theme.)
FOURTH QUARTER CHALLENGE
Again, it's all about deadlines. Farmpark is coming and why not enter something this year?! I know you've been thinking about it so take the plunge and get it done! (Farmpark only accepts one quilt per person so I will only give credit toward ONE piece per customer this quarter.)
What are you waiting for? Get started now and have some fun!

Hope Lodge Donation Quilts
|
The American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free, temporary place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment isn't close to home. Not having to worry about where to stay or how to pay for lodging allows these patients to keep their focus on getting well. Let's help bring these patients some additional comfort by donating a finished lap sized quilt top!
For each lap size quilt top I receive (maximum 60" x 60"), I will donate the backing, batting, binding, label and quilting. Finished quilts will then be donated to Hope Lodge in Cleveland. This is certainly a worthwhile charity, so please help meet the goal of 25 quilts this year!
